GC controls aren't bad. So go for the GC.

Puma was the villain the Black Spider-Man was fighting in the issue where MJ found out about Peter's secret.
Actually, IIRC, there was this old Spidey graphic novel where it was said that MJ found out Peter's secret long before that. Back when they were neighbors in Queens, she caught Spidey sneaking out of Peter's room a few times and put two and two together. So it wasn't much of a revelation when Peter finally fessed up to her.

Where is the arcade? I believe I accessed a hint maker and it said something about an arcade.

The arcade is specifically on the lower west side. Look for that labeled on your map. There is a grassy area over there and it is in an alley across. On your little radar, you'll see it, so just get to the lower west side and you'll find the arcade.

I got this game for my XBox and it's good fun, even though it's a bit shorter than I'd have liked. I thought that voice acting from Tobey and the rest was pretty good for the most part, though some of the citizens in distress were a bit lame but not intollerable.
I think Mysterio is officially one of my favorite video game villains ever, solely based on the what-a-dumbass factor alone. That bit when you're at Liberty Island and he says "Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses...
AND I WILL ENSLAVE THEM ALL! HA HA HA HA HA HA!
", man, I had to pause the game I was laughing so hard. And the three life bar "climactic battle" in the corner store? Comedy gold! I'm not too familiar with Spidey lore, but has he always been like that? It's hillarious.
Great game.

Mysterio also makes a classic nod to "Zero Wing."
And I looked up the Ghostbusters Firehouse on google, went to mapquest with the addy, found a map, put the two maps together...and sadly the firehouse wasn't there. Also to note from Ghostbusters- The apartment where the climactic battle happens is not in the Spidey 2 game, but the New York Public Library, the site of the first scene of the Ghostbusters moive, is in the game.

Yep, Dana Barrett's apartment isn't there, the firehouse isn't there. What kind of New York is this?!

What's in the arcade? Can you play old spiderman games or something?

I haven't watched the movie yet but i'm getting the game tomorrow. I'm guessing you can safely explore the city without spoiling the movie. How much of the game is it possible to play without spoiling the movie?
