I've noticed several posts regarding "Clonez". I've had difficulty reaching him, too. It took him over a year to get back to me, and it took the passing of my girl to get me my cloak. He said he'd make me a pair of tabbards for free to make up for it. Now it appears he's left the country, along with a friend's money to buy a camcorder. I even tried to go to his house, and he doesn't live there anymore. Be wary!

I've been reading you guy's thread here... and of course this is kinda old since this is before Ep. II. But I'm making a custom Jedi and I was wanting this styled cloak. Could I modify Simplicity Pattern #4450? Or do I need to do something entirely different? Pics of 4450 can be found on the Padawan's Guide. Thanx.

Hi, I think I've read everything to read on this cloak but I still can't decide on the right fabric. I have about 10 wool fabric samples - none like it but substitutes. I don't know whether to go with texture or color or weight. I can't find all in one. or whether to make something with lighter wool for comfort from the heat?
I've read about making it but not on the fabric some are using.
Any suggestions?

I'm in the same place MomMaster. I am working on this costume for my husband and I wanted the perfect fabric for the cloak. Basically I think I know what not to use but I still can't find what to use.
