Author Topic: NaNoWriMo 2009- Half Way There!
Date Posted: 11/3 7:35am Subject: NaNoWriMo 2009- Ready, Set, Write!!
I'm only at 2237, and I'm already stuck. It's beginning to really sink in how unprepared I am for NaNo this year compared to last year, when it wasn't a last-minute decision and things flowed a whole lot more easily because I felt more confident in what I was doing. I have a whole list of scenes to write for this year's story, but I can't figure out the glue to hold them all together so I'm just kinda floundering around and not sure how to approach any of them, even when I try to convince myself that I can fix things next month. bleh. Volume of Inner Editor Voice is inversely proportional to Self-Confidence.

On the plus side, I came up with a title. tongue

Now at 15.000 but all is really sketchy with some of the first chapters and last chapters written and some between.
But my villain the Darrin is thriving and crating havoc for the Jedi.
Will the Aaquilin best the Darrin?

Made it to 8459 today. Still ahead of the game!

Edit - now that we're a few days in, don't forget to back up your work! I keep a USB drive near the laptop for that purpose.

Last night I learned that writing at work is not very productive. My coworkers kept asking me questions or talking around me (I'm very easily distracted) and once all of that would finally stop my pager would start going off. sad I'm now only at 5,324. Hopefully tonight will be better!


I'll update the word counts on the first page in the morning when I get home.

I'm at 5,397 total -I'm disappointed; I had school off, but only got about 1000 words done. My total is still a bit ahead of what it should be, but I still think I should be doing better. I guess I write best when on edge.

6644 today, but - I managed to delet most of yesterday's writing. doh!
Guess, I'll have to redo a whole chapter. *sigh*
But that will have to wait for when I have soem time to spare, can't get distracted more than I always get.
At least I have an idea about what has to happen.

Don't delete. Change the font color to white, or italicize it so you know to delete it after Nano. That way you keep your word count up.

Oh, I didn't delete on purpose. LAJ, quite on the contrary! cry
It was a very stupid msitake. Now the stuff is gone, and I really wanted to keep it. It was a part that didn't write easily. *sigh*
Oh, well, I keep my word counts in a seperate file, so I'll keep the words as written. (The rewriting doesn't count though, IMO).
