So - is anyone going to start at midnight?

I'll be asleep by then but I plan on starting in the morning after I've gotten the papers and done a few chores.

I plan on starting at midnight but that isn't a stretch for me, I work nights so I'm used to being up at that hour and since I don't work this weekend it makes it easy! grin

Hey everyone, I'm also going to be participating! This will be my first year doing it, just got told about it last month by a friend who found out about it like november 13th or something so this will be his first year as well, we're going to try and push each other to complete it! I'm going to be meeting up with my region group november 1st at some local coffee shop at 11am and then going straight to work at 3pm, so hopefully I'll get a good 4 hours of writing in and get off to a good start... My story is gonna be a post-apocalyptic one with a bit of a scifi/fantasy twist dealing with super powers to some extent. Haven't really figured that one out exactly yet. My characters will tell me how that will work out, when the time comes. ONE MORE DAY!

I work early in the morning on the 1st, so I won't be able to start until tomorrow evening. sad I hope this won't be a recurring event this coming month....

I'm not going to be able to start at midnight since I have lots of stuff going on tonight (Halloween is a big deal on my campus) but if I finish the worst of my homework now, I can write all day tomorrow! I can't wait!

I hadn't planned on doing NaNo again this year until today. I really shouldn't, but I'm signed up again with the username of chrononaut67.

It was so much fun last year (2008 was my first NaNo and a win), but I'm not expecting to make the word count this year. In '08 I had a story outline that had been simmering in my head for years and previously-developed characters to use for it. This year, I got nothin'. tongue Well, I have something small and flimsy and boring that's been scattered around my brain for years. I'm not sure how I'm going to spice it up into a story yet. That's going to be my biggest challenge because otherwise I know I'll get bored with it myself halfway through. And that just won't do.

well I wasn't planning to start at midnight, but I was up. I got in 432 words in about 15 minutes. I feel better now that I've started and it's off to bed so I can actually make it up for work in the morning.

I still have an hour and a half before I can start. *looks at clock impatiently*

I have, however, designated a writing hat, which is sort of like a thinking cap. It is a purple fedora, and it is awesome. I plan on wearing it during my writing times as a way of reminding myself that I'm supposed to be writing. Sure, I could have done a million other things to denote this, but I mean... it's a purple fedora.

I am very impatiently awaiting midnight. I want to have words down before the morning arrives.
