This will be the only warning I give in this thread- DO NOT REQUEST (OR POST/DIRECT TO) PIRATED MATERIAL HERE OR ELSEWHRE ON THE JC..

just in case anybody wonders... here my PM reply to Quest:

I don´t know how you can think I am talking about pirated material? I definitely was not. This is not a DVD rip or anything like that, not even a rip from an online video. It is just a TV recording which can be shared legally. So please note that before warning me. I myself am a loyal buyer of products and as a bookseller myself against piracy. I follow all english and US SW material from Germany and Germany is slow with translating stuff, so I order and buy nearly every book, comic and DVD (need a picture if you do not believe me?). F.e. season 2 just starts here today in german. So in order to stay up to date and be able to talk with my friends in the US and Great Britain I need to view TCW in time. And that I do. Sharing movies is illegal, but TV recordings are different if not taken from a DVD or other product. Check the law if you doubt it.

it doesn't matter if it's TV or movies, it's still pirating- the distributor/production isn't getting any fees from your cable/dish provider for the channel and it circumvents the advertising models for official online distribution and streaming, etc, etc. Further more it simply is against the TOS of the JC.

It was a huge problem for the first season or so of BSG where the UK was airing it first and pirated versions were affected the later US broadcast ratings. Just because it's a different country delay and a different show doesn't matter- it can have the same impact.

Do you really think LFL/CTN would ok if we set up/permitted a means for people to get copies of the show for free that bypasses all the paid distribution channels they've contracted? No. Absolutely not. There are even times when a trailer released through alternate channels is an issue, let alone actual whole episodes.

The warning stands- don't request pirated material here- and that most certainly includes TV episodes, regardless of what quality (DVD/HD/DivX/TV) they are. END OF DISCUSSION.

wait Ashokas going Dark?

doesnt that make her existence and whatever influence she had on Anakin even more tenuous?

unless its another Kria and Revan thing.

I can definitely see Ahsoka turning to the dark side. Besides her "score to settle," which is very un-Jedi like, see displays a reckless behavior that isn't improving. Her attitude toward the war is increasingly becoming what Anakin thinks of it. So in sense she is a Anakin Junior.

Correct link. tongue

I love Jeff Carlisle's art.

Also, seismic tanks! And some sort of weird cyborg chimera of cannok and blarth.

Seismic tanks? Never thought I would see them again...they were one of the Clone Wars weapons that were awesome but impractical.

Does this mean there is hope for Lancer bikes?!

Anyway, amazing art, and I am very interested in the direction of the story.

I do love the art on this one, especially the color work- this is probably the best the TCW style has looked in a comic yet.

Seismic tanks are an unexpected but pleasant surprise- I echo the sentiment that I didn't think we'd see those again. They always came across to me as a one-shot megaweapon of sorts.

I was thinking about Ki-Adi-Mundi's contradictory statements regarding luck and although it is probably a mistake it could have come about if lines were added or altered after the script was completed. You can also rationalise it somewhat since phrases involving luck are so common that even if Ki-Adi doesn't believe in luck, he may still use those phrases, perhaps even by accident.

Presumably all Jedi do not believe in luck (or do not place great emphasis on it), yet even in the OT they could be said to make some references to it. In ANH Obi-Wan tells Han that he does not believe in luck, yet earlier he told Luke that he was "fortunate to be all in one piece" after the Tusken attack. Similarly, in ROTJ Yoda tells Luke how it was "unfortunate" that he rushed off to face Vader.

laugh ...Fortune instead of Luck. That is cutting it a little thin, stylistically, isn't it?

It reminds me of Japanese Emperor Hirohito's recorded radio address announcing the Japanese surrender.
He didn't say that Japan had lost the war; he said that events had not necessarily gone in their favor.

Yeah; it's just funny because there's not even ten minutes between the two lines. If were writing the novelization, I'd want to include Ki-Adi-Mundi having a paradigm shift as a result of the gunship crash, causing his abrupt change in philosophy, but that probably wasn't the original intention...

So, I finally got to see the episode, and I really enjoyed it. Of course, it's pretty much Geonosians and clones blowing the heck out of each other, but I'm cool with that. grin
