I also miss Sia, but I can also understand why a writer might want to phase her out. She was too obviously the pseudo-Leia in the earlier stages of the story when the main theme seemed to be more mashing up and remixing elements of the original trilogy. Now that Legacy is more of a character ensemble than a bizarro ANH, maybe she's just not as necessary for storytelling purposes anymore.

Even though the Imperial Princess has not had a large active role recently, we are NOT phasing Sia out. She will be back fairly soon along with other Imperials. Sometimes, I wish we had room for all the 'side stories' that happen between scenes, but are not integral to the main story.

Any thoughts about what you think the HRH has been up to while off camera?

Yay! I've been missing Marasiah and I've wanted to see more of the Fel Imperials! I hope she becomes part of the main story.

thinking I would think she's been working on the alliance between her father and the Jedi, maybe with Stazi as well. But that's so expected, I'd like it too if she were to go with Azlyn on a special fact-finding mission to Korriban! grin

What I'm worried about is a possible Naruto-like scenario: Where unnecessary but still good characters will be phased out or forgotten as the needs of the plot take priority.

Ugh, I hope not. That's the biggest downfall of that franchise, imo.

Really, when you think about it, Legacy runs its cast like most hour-long drama. Characters are in episodes (or in this case, arcs) that involve them and then will often disappear for a few issues when they're not involved. The difference with the medium is that a character can disappear from two week's worth of hour-long episodes and the absence will be much less conspicuous than the character not being involved for even three comic issues, which equal three months in real time. 2ndQuest calling the first 46 issues (which is what the Monster arc will finish up at) the first season of Legacy is very appropriate. After that, "Season 2" will begin, and we'll likely be reintroduced to many characters we've already met, some in the same supporting roles and some in bigger parts (Hondo Karr and his Mando plot, for example).

I enjoy the IK/Fel storylines as well - but I think in the end only a looser association of allies is really possble (as opposed to a firm alliance) because the Fel and his IKs are too much of an uncontrolable wild card in the mix. I figure this is being worked out in the background.

Where is C3P0?

Glowering, Jaina said, “I don’t envision you enjoying it. I’m picturing it –”
“Rough?”
“Exactly.”

I thought Artoo would have done something, or saved the day once by now, too.

Atleast R2 makes an appearance, what about old Golden Rod? Has he been melted down into scrap by this point or what?

Didn't we put C3PO's head on a pike back around issue 2? Or maybe it was a droid that looked like him. I can't remember. Maybe my memory file got swiped.

And I thought that some of you FOR SURE would have twigged by now that Artoo is a secret spy for the Sith. The clues are all there.

And for those of you who may have missed it, the JOKE sign is definitely flashing.

There was a protocol droid head on a pike, but when fans demanded to know whether this was Threepio, someone official stated it wasn't, and that Threepio might still eventually come around.

Jacen had learned that one can meet the Universe [...] with fear, or with hatred, or with despair.
Or one can choose to meet it with love.
Jacen had chosen.
But still, he was astonished to discover that the Universe could love him back.

I can live without seeing C3PO in Legacy. He's a bit fragile unless he got his mind swapped into a more durable body.

I'm almost afraid that if C-3PO did turn up, he will have had his memory wiped again. That's one of the things I hated most about the end of RotS, they wiped Threepio's memory, but not Artoo. Obviously, Artoo won't blab about Anakin and Padme, while Threepio might, but I remember when I first started reading about Episode III (the novel, the comic adaptation, etc.), I had hoped that they had both gotten their memories wiped, instead of just Threepio. Its just kind of annoying, to me, that Artoo remembers that far back, but... what's the point? The only time that thread came up was in DNT, and that sub-plot was annoying and stupid enough already, so its never been brought up again. Heck, before the prequels, I thought both Threepio and Artoo had gone without memory wipes for decades or something like that (although once they showed up in Episode I, we all knew there was going to be a memory wipe sooner or later, just still sad that it was only Threepio).

And if he's not driving, then who's driving this crazy bus?!
