Wow... I swear that Nicki's Jarael icon responds to her moods. For a moment there, I could've sworn that it was glaring at Lin.

It probably was!

Oh, speaking of SMT stuffs, if you have any good Vader, Death Star, Elvis with cape, or any other photo reference you think would be cool for coming up with some con-banner art and all shoot them to me. The higher res the better, but I'll take anything.

I just posted a thread in the conventions forums here.
http://boards.theforce.net/fanforce_conventions/b10290/29642691/p1/

earlier in this MSC thread I forgot to add to the list of Star Wars guests/programming John Hudgens- independent director & producer of Star Wars short films, including the award winning Sith Apprentice and The Jedi Hunter! He's an old friend of JJM's and a Memphis native, too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_E._Hudgens
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1185170/bio
http://www.zteamproductions.com/

BTW- Dean Zachary's upcoming KotOR issue is #38 and hits the stands on February 18th! Lets hope he has lots to sign at MSC!

Memphis and Star Wars represent!

I hinted to many of you that I'd have some upcoming Marvel-ous and X-citing news about Dave, and here it is...Dave got his contract from Marvel on Christmas Eve! happy

Scott Clark and Dave Beaty are currently working on a project together for Marvel- the upcoming X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks.

X-MEN: SWORD OF THE BRADDOCKS #1

COVER BY: ALEX GARNER
WRITER: CHRIS CLAREMONT
PENCILS: SCOTT CLARK
COLORED BY: WIL QUINTANA
LETTERED BY: TOM ORZECHOWSKI

THE STORY:
Before she can come home to the X-Men, Betsy Braddock has one final mission—settle the score once and for all with the man who’s been hunting her across the multiverse. If she hopes to survive, Psylocke’s going to have to use every weapon at her disposal----and possibly cross a line no X-Man ever has before…
One-Shot/Rated T+

PRICE: 3.99
IN STORES: March 4, 2009

http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?id=11256

http://www.tfaw.com/Comics/Profile/X-Men-Sword-Of-Braddocks___339391

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psylocke

Don't know why the colorist is listed as Wil Quintana unless they solicited before Dave and Scott were officially doing colors and inks, but officially Scott's penciling and Dave and Scott are doing the colors (unofficially I think they both are doing inks, too) It's more of a digitally painted story, kind of like what we did with Stargods.

Here's one Scott penciled, Dave inked, and I colored.

Scott will be joining the BT crew at the upcoming Phoenix Cactuscon- Jan. 22-25, 2009.

We did get to meet Dean, which was awesome, but he'd already packed up his stuff, unfortunately.

Now, now... Don't be hatin', Trace. laugh

It was great to get to meet Dean and hang out at ShadowCon. Call me crazy, (because it's true), but I've volunteered to help them out next year with A/V stuff since they had almost none at all this year. If I can help it, their dance party will be a whole lot better next year.

We were supposed to have a MSC programming meeting this Saturday 1/17 at Carlin's house. He called me last night and told me Renee's Father passed. They will be out of town, so we are not having the programming meeting at his house. He sent out an email today and mentioned that Eric Groff might be hosting the meeting, but that has not been confirmed. I will keep an eye on my email and keep everyone posted. We are still on for 1/31 at Carlin's house at 2pm for a programming meeting.
