Where were all you fans when the Yankees were terrible back in the 80's and Early 90's?



I have supported my beloved Yankees throughout my life...ALWAYS AND FOREVER.

If someone ever calls me a bandwagon jumper...so help me God. I will unleash a wrath of pure evilness on said person.


If you want proof of my loyalty, I lived in Sacramento in 1990-1992...when the A's were regularly killing the Yankees...and I still loved them.

Looks like I missed out on all of the fun over the past few days. I'm just glad that things in here seem to have flowed back to the actual game instead of being taken up by the fights, brawls, and beatings that happened over the weekend.

Delayed Response: Sorry Yanksfan, you were right about the hit batters count. That was either my dyslexia or total exhaustion talking (probably both).

I would also like to tip my hat to Ryno for his "Pride and True" support of the Red Sox in enemy territory. You lead by example of your bravery and courage in the line of fire.

The fact that Jeter and Soriano stand completely over the plate may have something to do with them getting hit.

I find the talk of throwing at batters to be off base.

In that game were Jeter and Sori were hit back to back...I saw the replays...they were not on top of the plate.

They were in their normal spots...and how often do they get hit? No very. So to have both of them hit...then there is a story there.


I have no problems with a pitcher, pitching on the inside...but you do not throw at hitters.

Will the Yankees score runs for The Moose? He gives up two surmountable homeruns until the walk leads to the game-winning run. Ugg! He hasn't won a post-season game since 2001, thanks to a lack of run support. The Yankees should have won this game. Wakefield's knuckleball looked flat in the 1st. Maybe John Sterling is right. The Yankees were not meant to win Game 4. Being down 3 games to 2 with Pedro pitching at the Stadium worries me. However, a Petite-Pedro matchup at the Stadium tomorrow if the Yankees lose is more comforting. Andy has a phenonimal record pitching after a Yanks loss.

Things sure have gottem quiet since Saturday. I guess that rain delay had alot to do with it.

Well there's not many more choices for MVP huh? And that goes for either team. Pettitte and Wakefield have really been the only stars of the series.

Andy will be dandy tomorrow and then I'll be off the Chicago to see the Yanks and Cubs!!

The Yankees won yesterday because they played better defense then the Red Sox. It will be hard to pick an ALCS MVP because this team has played as a team. Someone different contributes to a Yankees win. Yesterday, it was Karim Garcia. Andy Petite will be a front-runner. Hopefully, the Yanks can wrap it up today and avoid the Cubs' 8th inning meltdown last night.

Swung on and blooped to short left-center field.
Jeter out. And he makes the catch!

Defense and pitching have been pretty evenly matched up throughout this series, it's the hitting that has made the difference. The Sox have outhit the Yanks but they just aren't getting it done with men on base. I'm still not too worried about tonight though (typical depressingly hopefull Sox fan silly ). Even if Burkett gives up a few runs, we still have Embree and Timlin to pick things back up again, as long as the bats keep us in the game that is.

Game seven......I can't believe this is going to a game seven.

*wets pants, then bends over to pick up remaining shreds of broken heart*

This afternoon's game was like a punch in the gut. Killed me.

Luckily the Yanks are made of stronger stuff than me.

We gotta shake off this loss. However it goes, one thing's for certain: Roger Clemens won't go down without a fight. Should be interesting.

*this rivalry could be the death of me yet. I think I've aged ten years in the past week*
