First off, congrats to the NY Yankees. Your boys played a hell of a series and pulled of an unbelievable win last night. Good luck against the Marlins this weekend!

Second, it's not a blame-game or a pity-party that Sox fans engage in when they lose a series like this, it's about simple and obvious facts. Torre pulled Clemens in the 4th because he new that Roger couldn't go on. Clemens wanted to stay in but reluctantly left because his manager made the call. Pedro was clearly tired and should not have gone back in in the 8th. Little should have done the same thing rather than leave it up to Pedro to make the call for himself.

OK, I'm done ranting now (but I still don't feel any better). Like I was saying, congrats to the Yanks and to you guys for backing them up all season. Good luck in the World Series.

What a wonderful series! It did look bleak for the Yanks after David Ortiz hit his homerun to make it 5-2. The series had everything: clutch hitting, clutch pitching, clutch defense, and fantastic fans. Hearts were racing, breathing was stopped for a split second, hands were clenched, eyes were closed when the moment became too unbearable, ulcers began, raucous cheering for a good play, and swearing that would make a sailor blush for a bad play.

Thank you, Boston, for a great series. Unfortunately, one team had to lose. Both teams played well enough to win. I hope next year's 19 meetings are as good as this series. This years ALCS proved that this is the best rivalry in all of sports.

It was a fantastic team effort that won it for the Yankees. Anyone could have been named ALCS MVP. Congratulations, Mo. Thank you, Aaron Boone, for taking Tim Wakefield's first pitch deep into the left-field night that clinched the Yanks 39th American League Championship. Wow, 39! Today will be a well-deserved day of rest for the players, coaches, management, the owner, and the fans. Let's enjoy it today and be ready for the World Series Game 1 tomorrow night. Let's show the world what great fans we are as we strive for an unprecedented 27th World Championship!

Let's Go Yankees!

I know Aaron Boone's 11th inning homerun *felt* like the end of the world series, but we still have to win another four games.

Where did everybody go?

I'm still here, just recovering from symptoms of a heart attack caused by a rough seven game series. The cure, a Yankees win tonight!

The World Series cannot top that ALCS. Not in excitement, ratings or anything.

One thing I must say is that on papper the Red Sox are a MUCH better team than the Marlins. Then again so were the Giants and Cubs.

The only way the Marlins win is if the Yanke Picthing bombs and they use their speed to hurt the Yanks.

Last night's World Series crowd was pathetic. Where was the noise? Come on, guys! This is not the time to rest on our laurels! Get behind the boys! Cheer them on to another Championship!

Come on, Yankees! Let's see you bounce back in game 2!!!!!!

I'm not worried. Look what happened the last two times they lost the series opener. They'll rebound tonight with Mr. Pettitte on the mound.

Great game. I am just disappointed Pettitte did not get his Shut Out.

I am guessing there will be as many Yankee fans at the games in Miami as there will be Marlin fans. Anyone else agree?

Absolutely. They'll just migrate over from Tampa.

Pettitte was his usual rock self tonight. He shoulda had a CG except for Boone's error. I'll get over it. He MORE than made up for it on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Yeah, Pettitte was outstanding. And I agree about Boone. I was kinda annoyed that people started jumping all over him for cutting off that ball yesterday. I mean, yeah, it was a mistake, but how soon we forget his heroics! Cut the guy some slack!

But great game tonight. Great pitching, nice offense. Tuesday night should be a real pitching duel.

Yeah it definitely will. I actually think Moose will fare a little bit better becuz of the work he had on Thursday night. It really could end up helping him in the long run. If he didn't relieve Roger, then he's going on 7 days rest. That's too much for him. But I think he'll do just fine now that he threw a couple innings in between...well I hope so anyway. Beckett's not gonna be a walk in the park.

EDIT: When I say better I mean better than he has so far this postseason in all his starts.

Tonight is a pivital game. The Yankees must have a strong effort from the Moose, which is not the major concern. I am concerned that the Yankees offense sputters again and gives Mussina no run support. Just like in Game 2, the Yankees must keep Juan Pierre off the bases. Hopefully, the game is a carbon-copy of Game 2 and the Yanks put up 6 runs early.

Let's Go Yankees!

Yeah, poor Moose. What does the guy have to do to get some run support? I hope that three inning stint in game seven was a preview of pitching to come. And I want Giambi to earn his place at first base by hitting some ropes tonight.

Go Yanks!
