My dad said he heard rumblings that we may have released Boone, we haven't heard the last of him. That the Yankees wanted to throw out that contract, and get a new one, where Boone would play second base.

Or something like that.

It was conversation on the run, and I never even got a chance to ask all the details or where he heard this. But does this sound like something anyone else has heard?

I mean, I like Boone. Alot. And I'd love it if there was a way we could find to keep him. I don't talk extra inning, season-saving homeruns against Boston lightly. This guy deserves a second chance.

I haven't heard anything about it. But it's too early to start talking about that because he's done for the year as it is. If they do decide to pick him up again(which I doubt) then that'd be great. Maybe he'd make a good transition to 2nd.

But I tell you this...that man could never play another game in pinstripes and I will still love him more than I could ever possibly love A-Rod.

He has played 2B before...even some SS IIRC.
