If the Yanks can rebound against Toronto tonight and tomorrow...then I will say that a Series win over the weekend by the Yanks wraps up the division.

It was nice to see the Red Sox fans show Roger the respect he deserves. Finally, a touch of class in what is usually a crude group. I can't wait till I get down to the city this weekend to see the Yanks/Sox series. Go Yankees!

I don't think it was ever a personal thing with the Boston fans and Clemens (at least not for most). I think it was more about him playing for the Yankees (which will make anyone an enemy) than the fact that he wasn't with the Sox anymore.

I hate it when someone on the Yankees goes into a slump that lasts for many weeks, comes out of it during a Sox-Yankees series (Bernie Williams: hits 1st HR since Aug. 19 = 65 at bats). He's a modern day Bucky f@#$%&* Dent.

But to be fair, Jedi Outcast, Bernie Williams was an all out sox killer in his day. I remember some pretty timely hitting in the play-offs in '99....and even more in other series.

Gaah, we need to keep these guys at bay though. Anything less than a sweep of the Tigers is ridiculous.

Don't forget, the Tigers are trying to avoid history, so they may have some sharp claws. The Yankees should not consider them lightly.
