Boy I'll tell ya...hearing that tenor's amazing voice again brought back so many memories of that 2001 Series. It almost brought me to tears again.

The pre-game ceremonies were very touching. So was the 7th inning stretch with Celine Dion sing "God Bless America" and the video playing in right-center field. Another wonderful ceremony that proves how classy the New York Yankess organization is. Keep up the good work, George Steinbrenner.

Play-offs are approaching and yankees clinched a spot yesterday. Time to get this place ready. I want Andy Pettite to be the Game 1 starter for the post season, what do you guys think? And no more Osuna, please. I don't care what he did today.

If Contreras pitches well, I believe he will be the 4th pitcher in the Yankee playoff rotation, relegating David Wells to the bullpen.
Has anyone else noticed that the Yankees have the best record in the majors? They actually have a better winning percentage than the Braves. The Braves have one more loss than the Yankees and both are tied in wins. I find this amazing despite all the problems the Yankees have had this season.

Congratulations goes out to Alfonso Soriano for breaking Brady Anderson's ML record of most lead-off homeruns in a season. Good things happen when Alfonso gets on base. He scored all three Yankee runs last night.

And bad things happen when Jeff Weaver takes the mound. My theory? It's almost time for Jeff to get booted off the roster when the playoffs start. Joe figures we got this wrapped up, so might as well rest the good arms while we can.

Roger Clemens managing the game, and Mussina calling the pitches was just the most adorable thing in the world for some reason. Great idea, Joe!!!

Ha ha, and seeing Rocket pull Boomer was hilarious. Awesome. I dunno, a nice way to make what was pretty much a pointless game, interesting.

Although, too bad about Jeter not getting the batting title. Mueller's such a coward anyways. Think Jeter would've sat out if put in the same position? No *****ing way!

We'll get 'em in the play-offs though.
