Operation Christmas Stocking - Deadline Nov 22nd
I got this from the 501st forums. Everyone is encouraged to help out
The 501st Special Operations Det is working this short notice Christmas Charity project to help support deployed troops in Afghanistan...
"USAF Capt George Noel, currently deployed in Afghanistan, is leading “Operation Christmas Stocking”. The program is working hard to provide all deployed soldiers (military and civilian) around Afghanistan Christmas stocking filled with goodies like candy, snacks, etc. There are several deployed members who do not receive mail, and who should not be forgotten during the holidays.
Please support the effort by providing a 10-12 inches long stuffed stocking with Christmas goodies and a Christmas card.
We need to get the package out by Nov 22nd in order for it to reach the deployed members in time."
Please help out in any way you can. I'll personally head up the distribution from here and get them to George's office for the bulk mailing if you wish to participate.

I'll post pics of all the stockings we collect and send out in the bulk mailing & hopefully our stockings along withother groups will make a difference in a deployed soldier's life.
Trust me from experience, the holidays suck when your in a foreign country away from your family and friends, so I'd urge everyone to do something to make their lives a little better and to show them (no matter what you may personally think about the war), that we appreciate them.
